  • AMCC WOMEN'S SOCCER GAME OF THE WEEK: FRANCISCAN @ PITT-GREENSBURG

    The AMCC women's soccer game of the week is a showdown of two of the four teams battling it out for the final three playoff spots. Penn State Altoona, Pitt-Greensburg, Pitt-Bradford, and Franciscan University are all in the hunt for seeds 4, 5, and 6 in the upcoming AMCC championship tournament.
  • Emily Bethel, Pitt-Bradford, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Bethel had a perfect week in goal for Pitt-Bradford with a pair of clean sheets in crucial AMCC matches, shutting out Medaille and Pitt-Greensburg. Bethel made 13 total saves -- six against Medaille and seven against Pitt-Greensburg. Bethel's stellar play kept the Panthers' playoff hopes alive as Pitt-Bradford needed to win both games and the offense scored just one goal in each game.
  • Ashlyn Whipple, Penn State Behrend, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Whipple tallied two goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for the Lions. The junior netted the game-winner in the 87th minute to lift Behrend over Mt. Aloysius on Saturday, helping the Lions to clinch the AMCC regular season title and hosting rights for the conference championship. Whipple also added one goal and an assist vs. Hilbert.
  • Amanda Brancato, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Brancato led a backline that registered its second and third consecutive shutouts in conference victories over Pitt-Greensburg and D'Youville. She was part of a unit that held D'Youville in the AMCC game of the week to just three shots (2 SOG).
  • Jordan Gebhart, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Gebhart came up clutch with two game-winning goals in two consecutive 1-0 victories for the Mounties, who took over first place in the standings with a win over D'Youville on Saturday. The win over D'Youville was the AMCC game of the week. 
  • PITT-BRADFORD HOSTS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS DAY ON OCTOBER 6

    The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Department of Athletics hosted Mental Health Awareness Day at its home volleyball and soccer contests Saturday. Each Panther team wore green t-shirts that read the day's slogan, "#StopTheStigma" during warmups.

  • Megan Dulniak, D'Youville College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Dulniak continued her strong play in the net this past week, posting back-to-back shutouts for the women. Dulniak made nine total saves as the Spartans picked up a 2-0 win over Medaille on Tuesday and a 2-0 win against Pitt.-Greensburg on Saturday. D'Youville has allowed just one goal in conference play and are tied for first in the conference with a 4-0-1 record. All four of the team's wins this season have been via shutout. Within conference play, Dulniak leads the AMCC in wins (4), shutouts (4), save (47), and minutes played (470). 
  • Courtney Shade, Pitt-Bradford, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Shade put together a huge week offensively, scoring four goals against Hilbert and another on a PK against La Roche. Her terrific offensive week was crucial in the Panthers' 2-0 week in AMCC contests. She also assisted one goal in each game. Her four goal performance was the program's most in a single game since Melissa Smith scored the same amount on Oct. 28, 2014. Shade's seven goals scored in AMCC action rank second in the conference.
  • MOUNTIE MEN & WOMEN, PITT-GREENSBURG WOMEN EARN UNITED SOCCER COACHES TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD

    United Soccer Coaches announced the Team Academic Award winners for the 2017-2018 academic year on Thursday and the Mount Aloysius College men's and women's soccer teams, along with the Pitt-Greensburg women's team, earned the award.

    Penn State Behrend freshman forward Brenna McGuire has been named the ECAC Rookie of the Month for September. 
  • MOUNT ALOYSIUS WOMEN'S SOCCER REMAINS EIGHTH IN GREAT LAKES REGION

    The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer program received recognition on Tuesday afternoon by the United Soccer Coaches as they once again appeared in the Great Lakes Regional Rankings.
  • Megan Dulniak, D'Youville College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Dulniak had another solid week of goaltending for the Spartans, improving the team's conference record to 2-0-1. The AMCC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year stepped up this week as she began with a 14-save performance against Pitt.-Bradford as the Spartans tied the Panthers 1-1 in 2OT. She then followed up with a 12-save shutout against La Roche in a 2-0 win, her second shutout of the conference schedule. Dulniak leads all goalies with 38 saves in conference play, including 26 saves this past week. She has allowed just one goal and is third in goals against average (0.31) and save percentage (.974). Her two shutouts are tied for first in the conference.
  • Brenna McGuire, Penn St. Behrend, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    McGuire scored five goals in a pair of AMCC shut-out victories this week. She netted her first collegiate hat trick against Medaille and then scord both goals in a 2-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday.

    Pitt-Greensburg (6-2-1, 2-0-0 AMCC) travels to defending regular-season and AMCC Tournament champion, Penn State Behrend (4-5-0, 2-0-0 AMCC) Saturday afternoon.
  • Lauren Yoder, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Yoder appeared in two games this past week, making a start against Waynesburg and playing the entire second half against Hilbert. She posted a shutout against Waynesburg, who entered the game as the #10 ranked team in the Great Lakes Region. Yoder also recorded four saves against the Yellow Jackets and did not allow a goal against the Hawks. In three career games, the freshman has not allowed a goal and currently boats a shutout streak of 245:00.
  • Cheyenne Kuncher, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Offensive
    September 24, 2018
    Kuncher lit up the scoreboard with three goals in the first 8:34 of the contest in the Mounties' 5-3 victory over Pitt Bradford on Saturday. Kuncher scored her hat trick in a span of 1 minute and 56 seconds, which ranks 6th fastest in NCAA D3 women's soccer history for three consecutive goals scored in a game. Kuncher finished the week with three goals and one assist. Kuncher is tied for first in the conference with six goals on the season.

    The La Roche College women’s soccer team enters the AMCC Game of the Week at 2-4, while the Penn State Behrend Lions are 2-5. Both teams are coming off of a loss and looking to rebound on Saturday as both teams open up their AMCC conference schedule. 
  • MOUNT ALOYSIUS WOMEN, BEHREND MEN REMAIN IN SOCCER REGIONAL RANKINGS

    The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer team remained in the United Soccer Coaches regional rankings as the Mounties moved up one spot to the #8 position in the Great Lakes region, while the Penn State Behrend men's team dropped to the #10 spot .
  • Summer Schell, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Schell led a backline for a Mounties team that extended its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 1-0-1 week. She also scored two goals off of penalty kicks, including the game-winning goal in a victory over Bethany. 
  • Bri Burgunder, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Offensive
    September 17, 2018
    Burgunder totaled three goals and an assist for seven points in Pitt-Greensburg's three games this past week. Burgunder scored a game in all three contests, including the game-winning strike in the 2-1 victory at St. Vincent. She recorded 16 shots over the three games and put eight of those shots on goal. The senior currently is tied for the conference-lead with four goals and nine points on the season.
  • MOUNT ALOYSIUS WOMEN, BEHREND MEN'S SOCCER RANKED NINTH IN GREAT LAKES REGION

    The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer team and the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team each earned a spot in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings on Tuesday.
  • Lauren Davey, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Davey played all 270 minutes in goal for the Mounties in a 3-0 week, allowing just one goal while registering 13 saves. Davey has allowed only two goals in the Mount's first five games as the Mounties are off to their best start in program history at 5-0 overall.

    Kuncher scored two goals in a 3-0 week for Mount Aloysius, including the game-winner in a victory over St. Vincent on Sunday. 
  • Jordan Gebhart, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Defensive
    September 04, 2018
    Gebhart, from her defensive center mid position, led a defensive effort that allowed just one goal in two Mountie victories. Gebhart led the defense in a 3-0 shutout over Lycoming on Saturday, and contributed offensively with a header off of a set piece for the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Hood on Sunday.
  • Kourtney Walls, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Walls started off her Mountie career firing with three goals in two games, both Mountie victories. She scored two goals, including the game-winner, in her debut in a 3-0 win over Lycoming on Saturday before scoring the game's opening goal in a 2-1 win over Hood on Sunday.
  • BEHREND WOMEN'S SOCCER EXPECTED TO DEFEND CONFERENCE TITLE

    Penn State Behrend, winners of 13 AMCC women’s soccer titles, has been selected to once again defend their crown in 2018. Mount Aloysius College is expected to finish second, with Franciscan University in third.
