Pitt-Greensburg senior midfielder Bri Burgunder has been selected as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Burgunder was a 2017 first team all-conference selection and was named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III all-great lakes region team. As a junior, she ranked second in the conference with 19 goals and 42 points. She recorded six multi-goal games, including setting school records for goals and points in a game, with a four-goal, 10-point performance against Wilson College.
D’Youville College senior goalkeeper Megan Dulniak picks up Preseason Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dulniak turned in another outstanding season in 2017 and continued to build a case as one of the top goalkeepers in the AMCC. In 2017, she tied for first in the conference in shutouts (8) and recorded a shutout in five conference games last season. She ranked second in save percentage (.884), third in saves (114), fourth in wins (8), and fourth in minutes played (1529:18). Dulniak started every game last season for the Spartans and ended the regular season with five consecutive shutouts and helped D'Youville earn the fourth seed in the playoffs. Dulniak was named an AMCC third team all-conference performer as a freshman and an AMCC second team all-conference player last season.
The AMCC championship will be held November 3 at the site of the highest remaining seed, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
