CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS SET FOR AMCC CHAMPIONSHIP
AMCC cross country teams will head to Greensburg, PA this weekend for the 2024 AMCC Women's Cross Country Championship.
AMCC cross country teams will head to Greensburg, PA this weekend for the 2024 AMCC Women's Cross Country Championship. The women's championship race kicks off on Saturday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds.
Defending champion Penn State Behrend will be looking for their 14th conference title, but it's Alfred State College who holds the top two times in the conference this season.
Locking in the top time of the season is Alfred State freshman Hailey Kumpf who recorded a time of 24:22.0 at the Mike Woods Invitational. Pioneer sophomore Oli Kraynik has the next best time of 24:46.8, also from the Mike Woods Invitational. Behrend junior Lindsey Hartle recorded the third-best time this season, a 24:04.5 finish at the Gettysburg College Invitational. Holding down the fourth spot is freshman Baylee Dernar, with a time 25:09.3 at Gettysburg, as Hartle rounds out the top five times with a 25:37.1 finish at the Fredonia Invite.
The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men to follow at 12:00 p.m.
