BEHREND CLAIMS 14TH WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TITLE; ASC'S KUMPF FNISHES FIRST
The Penn State Behrend women’s cross country team earned its sixth straight and 14th overall AMCC Championship with 28 total points at the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Saturday.

Alfred State College finished in second place with 39 points, followed by Carlow University in third with 79. Pitt-Greensburg was fourth with 99 points, Mount Aloysius College's 110 points placed them fifth, while La Roche University rounded out the team scoring with 160 points.
Alfred State freshman Hailey Kumpf won the individual title as she was the first runner to cross the finish line, breaking through the ribbon in 25:07.4.
Penn State Behrend's Lindsey Hartle finished second in 25:59.8 and Alfred State's Oli Kraynik rounded out the top three with a time of 26:20.6. Behrend's Baylee Dernar was fourth (26:50.8) and Alfred State's Ava Sylvester's time of 27:00.3 was good for fifth place. Behrend had the next two runners cross the finish line, with Macie Horvath coming in sixth (27:18.10) and Bethany Litwiler in seventh place (27:22.0). Carlow's Ella Cloak was the first Celtic to cross the finsih line, as her time of 27:34.2 placed her in eighth. Penn State Behrend's Alivia Hetrick and Sam Abate finished out the top 10 with times of 27:47.9 and 27:48.0, respectively.
