HILBERT'S REINHOLZ NAMED TO ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their 2014 All-Academic teams and Hilbert College's Kylie Reinholz earned a spot on the Division III roster. 

Reinholz, in only her second season of collegiate competition, captured the 2014 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference women's 6K championship race (24:21) and became the first athlete at Hilbert College to claim an AMCC championship.   She then continued her racing season at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in Newville, Pa and placed 78th in a field of 370.   Reinholz was named the AMCC women's Runner of the Year as she set personal-best race times every weekend.

The junior from Orchard Park will graduate in May 2016 with a degree in Forensic Science/Crime Scene Investigation.  She currently carries a 3.96 gpa and has been an AMCC Academic All-Conference member since she arrived at Hilbert in the start of her sophomore year.  She will be inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Student-Athlete Honor Society in April 2015 joining other student-athletes from Hilbert College who maintained a 3.30 cumulative gpa through their third academic year.

The USTFCCCA honors Division I, II and III student-athletes who maintain high academic as well as athletic standards during their season of competition.  326 women and 247 men in Division III earned USTFCCCA 2014 All-Academic honors.    

Division III student-athletes are required to carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (out of 4.0) through the end of the fall semester of competition.  Also, the student-athlete must place in the top 25% of finishers within their respective NCAA Division III Regional Championship.
