FIELD SET FOR AMCC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
The 2025 AMCC Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament kicks off on Wednesday evening with first round matchups. Mount Aloysius College went 7-1 in AMCC regular season play on their way to securing their first-ever AMCC Regular Season Title. On Wednesday evening, #6 Pitt-Bradford will travel to #3 Penn State Behrend, while #4 Hilbert College hosts #5 La Roche University. Mount Aloysius and second seed Penn State Altoona each receive first round byes.
Top seed Mount Aloysius enters the tournament with a 7-1 conference record and their first regular season title under their belt. The Mounties are led offensively by senior OH Molly Richards who leads the conference in total kills (413) and kills per set (4.80), while ranking fifth in digs per set (4.41). Junior OH Madison Barr ranks second in the AMCC with 4.83 digs per set and Makenzie Barr's .266 hitting percentage ranks fourth in the league.
Penn State Altoona enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed with a 6-2 record in AMCC play. Freshman MH Jayden Ulmer leads the conference with 68 total blocks on the year, while averaging a conference-leading 0.93 blocks per set. Junior OH Lia Simanski leads the Lions with 253 kills and 3.09 kills per set. Sophomore L Brianna Woodring has recorded 281 digs on the year, averaging 3.75 digs per set.
Also coming in at 6-2 is No. 3 seed Penn State Behrend. Sophomore OH Cadence Jones leads the Lion offense, and ranks second in the AMCC, with 374 total kills to go along with 4.25 kills per set, while also ranking second in the league with a .290 hitting percentage. Sophomore MH Kylie Fehlman ranks third in the conference with 0.81 blocks per set while sophomore S Brynne Smith is third with 7.30 assists per set.
With a 5-3 record in conference play is No. 4 seed Hilbert. Sophomore L Jade Schiller tops the AMCC with 513 digs, while ranking fourth with 4.62 kills per set. Senior S Jessee Jonathan ranks second in the conference with 0.63 service aces per set. Senior OH Molly McKinnon leads the Hilbert offense with 246 kills on the season with 2.26 kills per set.
La Roche comes into the tournament as the No. 5 seed with a 4-4 conference record. Senior MH Kalli Grine leads the Redhawks on both sides of the ball by averaging 3.32 kills per set, good for fourth in the conference, while her 0.83 blocks per set are second-best in the league. Freshman L Kaci DePalma tops the AMCC with 5.31 digs per set while freshman S Estelle Winck 5.88 assists per set rank fourth.
Rounding out field is No. 6 Pitt-Bradford, also with a 4-4 record in AMCC play. Sophomore RS Lillian Bentley leads the Panther offense by averaging 3.25 kills per set, ranking her fifth in the conference. Sophomore DS Danielle Sasuga's 504 total digs rank second in the AMCC, while her 4.80 digs per set are third-best. Junior OH Marissa Bowman ranks second in the AMCC with 7.43 assists per set, while ranking fourth with 0.58 service aces per set.
First round games will take place on Wednesday, November 12 at 7pm with #6 Pitt-Bradford at #3 Penn State Behrend and #5 La Roche at #4 Hilbert.
