Maria Binette, Franciscan University, Women's Tennis

Binette clinched Franciscan's second-straight AMCC title with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles on Sunday against Altoona. Binette scored the fourth point for Franciscan against Greensburg, won both doubles matched at No. 1, and only dropped three games in her four matches over the weekend.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Franciscan JR Maria Binette clinched Franciscan's second-straight AMCC title with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles on Sunday against Altoona. Binette scored the fourth point for Franciscan against Greensburg, won both doubles matched at No. 1, and only dropped three games in her four matches over the weekend.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona SO Annie Ruggles posted wins in No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles on Saturday against Penn State Behrend, helping her team win in the semifinals to reach Sunday's AMCC Championship match.
