ALFRED STATE WOMEN WIN AMCC SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP
The Nazareth College women's swimming and diving team claimed the team title at the Allegheny-Empire Swimming and Diving Championship Meet on Saturday at the Webster Aquatic Center. Alfred State College was the top finisher for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), picking up their second overall title, and first since the 2020 season.
In Saturday's events, Alfred State’s Madison Snayczuk claimed the gold in the women’s 100 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 53.92.
Penn State Behrend’s Emma Webster was the top finisher in the 200 yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:10.61.
Alfred State sophomore Alyssa James was named AMCC Swimmer of the Meet, while Pioneer freshman Anna Ivery earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Penn State Behrend junior Julia Sank was named AMCC Diver of the Year. Penn State Behrend head coach Jennifer Wallace and Alfred State head coach Isabel Mariotti were named AMCC Women's Co-Coaches of the Year.
