By a 264-205 margin, Penn St. Behrend took the lead from Alfred State College at the AMCC women's swimming and diving championship on Thursday.

Behrend placed first in the 200 free relay, the 500 free (Marcella Puglia), and 50 free (Jessica Wyckoff) while Alfred State posted the fasted time in the 200 IM (Jessie Larue). The 400 medley relay will be re-swum at the end of the morning preliminaries due to an obstruction in the pool during the race.
In another performance of note, Franciscan University freshman Colleen Farabaugh set the school 500 free record with a 5:26.00 in the preliminaries.
The rest of the field included Franciscan with 102 points, Penn St. Altoona with 62 points, and SUNY Delhi with 2 points.
Competition will resume with preliminaries Friday morning at the Junker Center in Erie, PA and finals starting at 6pm.
