The AMCC Women's Soccer Game of the Week features a rematch of the last four AMCC Championship games (2019-2023), as Pitt-Greensburg takes on Penn State Behrend in Erie, PA.
The Pitt-Greensburg women’s soccer team travels to Erie to play in a crucial matchup in the AMCC against Penn State Behrend. The two teams have met in the AMCC Championship every year since 2019. The Bobcats are coming off an 8-1 win over Pitt-Bradford in which senior Emily Bonelli had a brace and freshman Kathryn Chiado scored the first three goals of her career. The Bobcats are led by senior Sarah Tonkovich who has six goals in ten games. The Backline has given up just ten goals on the season.
Penn State Behrend enters the weekend on a two-game winning streak as the Lions opened conference play with a convincing 4-1 win at La Roche. Behrend then faced Capital on Sunday, posting a 2-1 victory with Lizzie Hoff netting her first game-winning goal of the season vs. the Comets. Last week, Audra Kuzma tallied two goals in three games, as she scored the lone goal against No. 13 Case Western and then added another vs. the Redhawks. Trinity Prestash leads the team and is tied for second in the conference with 14 points (six goals, two assists). Prestash has 49 career goals and ranks fourth on the program’s all-time list, needing nine more goals to move into third place. Marlene Andrade is second on the team with four goals and four assists for 12 points. Abby Starkey collected her first start and win with the Lions, making five saves in the win over Capital
