PITT-GREENSBURG'S LUCAS, HICKEY HEADLINE WOMEN'S SOCCER ALL-ECAC TEAM
The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team captured their second AMCC title in three seasons and made a trip to Cleveland to take part in the NCAA Tournament.
The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team captured their second AMCC title in three seasons and made a trip to Cleveland to take part in the NCAA Tournament.
To go along with the team's success, the players are also receiving recognition as individuals. The ECAC awards came out and four Bobcats were recognized.
Senior F Ashley Lucas, one of the most decorated athletes in Pitt-Greensburg history, added another award to her trophy case as she was named ECAC Offensive Player of the Year. Lucas scored 19 goals and had ten assists, both leading the AMCC. She recorded 48 points on the year.
Also recognized on the first team is Bobcat freshman Megan Hickey, as she was named ECAC Rookie of the Year and a member of the ECAC second team. Hickey scored 18 goals and recorded six assists to add up to 42 points. Out of those 18 goals, six were game winners.
Also appearing on the second team are Nylah Pannebaker and Abby Henise. Pannebaker was named All-ECAC second team as she was one of the top defenders in the region. Pannebaker played the most minutes on the team and contributed to giving up just two goals over conference play. Henise was also one of the top defensders in the region, and also made an impact on the offenseive side of the field with six goals.
