Malenfant (184) went 5-0 and tallied five falls on his way to winning the bracket. On Friday, he took down Sam Tignor (WL), and Julian Schott (Mary) with second round falls. Then in the quarterfinals, he notched a 2:46 fall over Jake Gross (URSI) to advance to day two in the champion's bracket. On day two, he took down Luke Theis (TCNJ) in 2:16 to move to the first- place match. In the finals match he notched a 1:44 fall over Xavier Pommells (Ithaca) to take the championship title.

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend FR Mason Savitz (165) captured the 165 title at the RIT Invitational on Saturday, posting two major decisions (14-6, 14-2), two wins by decision (9-3, 13-8) and one fall (0:48) to go undefeated on the day...Pitt-Bradford JR Nik Fegert (149) went 7-1 last week and took 3rd place in the 149 Weight Class at the RIT Invitational. He picked up a win by fall in the dual meet victory over Elmira to start the week before being the Panthers' best finisher at the RIT Invitational. He won three matches by decision and one by major decision at the event, securing the podium spot with a pair of wins by medical forfeit...Penn SO Carter Davis (165) was the lone Wildcat to reach the podium with a fourth-place finish at the York New Standard Invitational -- after dropping his first-round bout, Davis rattled off six-straight victories to earn a spot in the third and fourth-place match. He used a fall, two tech falls, a major decision and a 4-3 win in the consi semis before defaulting for his fourth-place finish...PS-Altoona SO Andrew Weaver (174) went 2-2 in Saturday's Blue Jay Classic while competing in the 174 bracket of the open, his wins came when he earned a 9-1 major decision victory over Cortland State's Thomas Mancini and later defeated McDaniel's Manny Rodrigues 9-3 in 2:19.
