Callan Smith, D'Youville College, Women's Lacrosse - Defensive

Smith had a strong week for the Spartans, helping them earn their second win of the season. In the 17-14 win over Cazenovia on Tuesday, Smith led the team with nine ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win. She then added two ground balls in the team's 15-13 loss at Wells on Saturday. Smith leads the AMCC in ground balls (31) and is second in the conference in caused turnovers (14).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville D Callan Smith had a strong week for the Spartans, helping them earn their second win of the season. In the 17-14 win over Cazenovia on Tuesday, Smith led the team with nine ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win. BEST OF THE REST: Franciscan GK Brittany Bain made nine saves in the Lady Barons' 14-13 win over Westminster, becoming the first Lady Baron goalie to surpass 200 saves in her career, as she now has 209.
