Justice earned Tournament MVP honors in the Grapevine Classic, averaging 214.6 over five games. All five of her individual games on Saturday were between 198 and 235. Entering the event, Justice planned to throw her first shot of the season with a 15-year-old ball that was owned by her grandfather, Richard Beauchamp, who passed away this summer. She ended up using the ball the entire weekend, and not only earned MVP honors, but set two school records - highest 5-game total (1,073) and most consecutive strikes/spares (31, breaking her own school record of 28). Her Saturday total placed her 63 pins ahead of the tournament runner-up.

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Bradford SR Brookelyn Garvey was a standout for the Panthers at the season-opening Mercyhurst Invitational, facing a majority of Division I and II opponents, Garvey had the fourth-best traditional average, earning a spot on the all-tournament team, averaging 193.60 pins over five games, posting a high game of 216...William Smith JR Michaela Morgan averaged a team-high 188.0 on Saturday as the Herons went 4-1 in traditional matches, as she rolled a 206 in her William Smith debut and led the Herons to back-to-back wins for the first time in program history, while also adding a single game high of 212 against Ursuline...Hilbert FR Jenna Angle led the Hawks at the Grapevine Classic, as the Hawks went 5-4, with Angle averaging 169 throughout the tournament, including a single-game high of 216...Pitt-Greensburg JR Erica Moss was the Bobcats' top bowler in their first tournament of the season, as they went 2-7 on the weekend with wins over Ursuline and PS-Behrend, as she bowled a weekend high for the Bobcats of 201 against Saint Vincent...PS-Behrend JR Sidney Batsa led the Lions in the traditional games, finishing with an average of 169.00 to place 20th overall in the individual standings.
