Defending AMCC champion William Smith College has been named the AMCC front runner in women’s bowling for the 2024-25 season.
Defending AMCC champion William Smith College has been named the AMCC front runner in women’s bowling for the 2024-25 season. League coaches expect Alvernia University to finish in the second spot, with Saint Vincent College rounding out the top three.
William Smith senior Michaela Morgan has been named the 2024-25 AMCC Preseason Bowler of the Year. Morgan is the reigning AMCC Bowler of the Year and an AMCC all-conference first team selection. She was named to the 2023-24 AMCC All-Tournament Team and led William Smith to a share of the AMCC regular season championship and the 2024 conference title. Morgan paced Division III in strike percentage (45.8%) and recorded a team-high 408 strikes. She finished 13th in the nation in individual split leave percentage (6.9) and 8th in Baker format split leave percentage (6.7).
The AMCC Championship will be held March 21-23 at Pines Plaza Lanes in Pittsburgh, PA, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
