Medaille College went undefeated in the second AMCC bowling round robin of the season, in a match that determined the seeding for the conference championship tournament in Buffalo next month.
The Mavericks (4-0) were followed in the standings by Mount Aloysius College (3-1), Pitt-Bradford (2-2), New Jersey City University (1-3) and host Thiel College (0-4).
Medaille avenged an earlier season loss to the Mounties at the November round robin with the 951-950 victory, but it was not enough to wrest the #1 seed in the AMCC tournament from their rivals. With identical league records of 13-1, Mount Aloysius gained the edge over Medaille in seeding in the tiebreaker of head-to-head total pinfall of the two events, and earned the regular season title.
The February round robin featured a team format, and there were a number of standout individual performances. MAC junior Rayissa Amon recorded the individual high game of the day with a 247, followed by MED freshman Liz Minnard (234), NJCU junior Autumn Fortunato (232) and MED freshman Carla Hansen (231). Hansen was the only player to score three 200+ games. With a 199.0, Amon had the highest overall scoring average of the day.
The defending champion Mavericks will host the AMCC at Classic Lanes, in Kenmore, NY on March 2-3. Following Mount Aloysius (1) and Medaille (2) in the seeding are Pitt-Bradford (3), New Jersey City (4), Hilbert College (5), and Thiel College (6).
