PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona G/F Ellie Matthews notched back-to-back double-doubles for the Lions in a 2-0 week of AMCC play. In Wednesday night's win at home against Mount Aloysius, the freshman scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while adding three assists, one steal, and one block. In Saturday's victory at Pitt-Bradford, she posted season-highs with 25 points and 20 rebounds to go along with one assist and one block. Matthews' total of 20 rebounds in the game set a new Penn State Altoona women's basketball single game rebounds record. On the week, she averaged 19.5 points per game, 17.0 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, and 1.0 block per game.

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State F Emily Kelley led the Alfred State women's basketball team in three games this past week by averaging 12.7 points, 14.7 rebounds and 32.3 minutes, she recorded her fourth consecutive double-doubles for her 11th total of the season as she put up ten points, 12 rebounds and had two assists against La Roche, recorded 16 points, had a career-high of 20 rebounds and added three assists, four blocks and one steal against UPB, and assisted the team to a 58-46 come-from-behind win over Mount Aloysius with 12 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks...Hilbert G Ashley Schroeder recorded her first double double with 21 points and 11 rebounds playing all 40 minutes against La Roche, as she was 8-for-19 from the field going 4-for-7 from the free-throw and also adding in one assist...PS-Behrend G Caitlin Carnuche tallied her fifth 20+ point game, leading the Lions with 25 points in the win over Medaille, as she drained six three-pointers and grabbed four rebounds...Pitt-Greensburg F Shaquoia McCray played a huge role in the Bobcats game against La Roche, playing 33 minutes and securing 13 rebounds, as she was one point away from a double-double...Medaille G Shyanne Trinh had a total of 31 points this week, earning 15.5 points per game in the Mavs' two conference games this week, including an impressive 24 points going 10-15 with four threes against Hilbert and adding seven points, three rebounds, one assist, three assists, and one block against Behrend.
