DUNN, KOSMACK GARNER ALL-REGION RECOGNITION
La Roche University senior guard Jazmine Dunn and Mount Aloysius College junior forward Molly Kosmack each earned a nod on the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Team, announced on Monday. Both Dunn and Kosmack were AMCC First Team honorees, while landing on the All-Region Third Team.
Dunn, the AMCC Player of the Year, finished the season averaging a career-high 20.1 points, which currently sits T-8th in the AMCC record book and the first player to average 20+ since 2018-19. Her 41.6% shooting sits 10th in the AMCC, while her 39.1% shooting from three is 2nd best, as is her 85% from the foul line. Dunn's 4.9 assists led the AMCC by a full assist per game, while she also contributed 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 steals (4th AMCC). In AMCC play, Dunn averaged a league-best 20.2 points, shot 42.6% from the floor and 40% from three, while adding 5.8 rebounds and an AMCC-best 6.1 assists, while also chipping in 2.9 steals per games.
Kosmack started all 24 games that she appeared in for the Mounties, averaging 15.5 points and a conference-best 13.5 rebounds per game. She poured in 371 total points while shooting 59.3 percent (137-of-231) from the field, which was the top field goal percentage in the AMCC. Dominant on the glass all season, Kosmack's 323 total rebounds led the conference, and she was equally impactful defensively, finishing second in the league in blocks (55). She also shot 84.3 percent from the free throw line, knocking down 97-of-115 attempts. Kosmack also became the program's all-time rebounding leader and eclipsed the 1,000-point mark earlier this season.
