MOUNTIES' KOSMACK NAMED TO D3HOOPS.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK

On Tuesday, Mount Aloysius College Women’s Basketball freshman forward Molly Kosmack was selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. She is the first player in program history to receive the national recognition. Kosmack was previously named the AMCC Player of the Week, on Monday, her fourth time this season.
Kosmack led Mount Aloysius to two big AMCC victories, averaging 22 points and 22 rebounds. She opened the week with a 24-point, 26-rebound double-double, giving the Mounties their first win against Pitt-Greensburg since 2018-19. She added 19 points and 18 rebounds in a victory at Pitt-Bradford to cap off the week. Kosmack shot 62% from the field and 92% from the line, to go along with seven blocks for the week.
In addition to the awards, Kosmack has started every game for the Mounties this season, leading them in scoring (18.5 ppg) and rebounding (13.6 rpg). She currently leads all of NCAA Division III in Field Goal Percentage (62.0%) and ranks in the top ten in both rebounds per game and double-doubles (11).
Mount Aloysius is 8-8 overall, with a 5-4 record in conference play, prior to hosting La Roche on Wednesday evening.
