KOSMCK, HAIRSTON PICK UP WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-REGION HONORS

Kosmack was named the Region 7 Rookie of the Year. Kosmack had a dominant freshman year, leading the Mounties in both scoring and rebounding. She averaged 18.9 points per game and 13.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 64.6% from the field. She also had 68 blocks, which helped her earn the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year award. Kosmack led the AMCC in all four categories, while also ranking very high nationally. Following the end of the regular season, she ranked second nationally in field goal percentage, sixth in total rebounds and rebounds per game, and fourth in total double-doubles (19). Her 68 blocks were good for 16th in Division III. Earlier this year, she was also the first Mountie to be named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week (January 15-21).
Hairston was named to the Region 7 Third Team. She was lauded as the AMCC Player of the Year, as well as being named to the AMCC all-conference first team. Hairston was the driving force behind the Redhawks 21-5 overall record, second consecutive perfect AMCC regular season record and La Roche's fourth consecutive trip to the AMCC tournament championship game. Hairston's final season concluded with an average of 17.1 points per game, placing her seventh in the AMCC, alongside 12.7 rebounds, which was second in the AMCC and ninth nationally. Hairston led the AMCC in regular season play, averaging 13 rebounds per contest. Furthermore, Hairston shot 50.8% from the field, also second in the AMCC, averaged 2.7 assists per game, which lead all AMCC forwards and two steals, tying her for sixth in the conference. Hairston ended the season with 14 double-doubles and placed herself sixth in the all-time single game NCAA DIII women's basketball record book with a 56 point performance against Wells. Hairston eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark, ending her career with 1,128, the eighth most in school history, as well as 844 rebounds, only the second player to hit the 800 mark in program history, falling just 14 shy of the school record.
