COACHES PICK PITT-GREENSBURG TO LEAD AMCC AGAIN IN 2026
Pitt-Greensburg enters the spring as the team to beat after capturing its first-ever AMCC title in 2025, and league coaches believe the Bobcats are poised for another championship run. Penn State Altoona and Penn State Behrend are projected to battle neck-and-neck just behind them in what should be a tightly contested race near the top of the standings.
Mount Aloysius College senior infielder Sarah Henninger has been tabbed as the AMCC Preseason Player of the Year. Henninger was an AMCC first team all-conference selection in 2025. She finished second in the conference in hits (62) and batting average (.484) and fourth in on-base percentage (.500) and slugging percentage (.648).
Mountie senior pitcher Jessica Koptcho is the AMCC Preseason Pitcher of the Year. Koptcho was named the 2025 AMCC Pitcher of the Year and was an AMCC first team all-conference selection in 2025. She led the conference in ERA (1.37), strikeouts (137), WHIP (.97), was second in wins (12), and fifth in innings pitched (107.0).
The AMCC tournament will take place Wednesday, May 6 through Saturday, May 9 at Heindl Field in DuBois, PA. The winner will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
