AMCC SEES FOUR SOFTBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO NFCA ALL-REGION TEAM

The AMCC saw four softball players named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCAAA)Division III All-Region VII Team. Penn State Behrend's Meghan Petitte and La Roche University's Ashtin Hoover were each named to the second team, while Penn State Behrend's Abby Tingley and Penn State Altoona's Cameryn Feathers were named to the third team.
Petitte is earning her first All-Region honors after being named an AMCC all-conference first team honoree, as well as the AMCC Player of the Year. She finished first on the team in batting average (.433), hits (58) and RBIs (39). Petitte was second in doubles (12), triples (5) and home runs (4). She had 18 multiple-hit games and 12 multiple-RBI games. Petitte also tallied a .472 on-base percentage and a .687 slugging percentage in 42 games played.
Hoover ended the 2024 campaign with a .481 average, 50 hits, 27 runs scored, seven doubles, 18 RBI, 18 stolen bases (led AMCC), a .522 on base percentage and a .567 slugging percentage. In conference play, Hoover hit .412, 21 hits, scored 15 runs, stole 11 bases and a .455 OBP. Defensively, Hoover completed 64 of 66 plays on the year, a fielding percentage of .970, placing her T-5th amongst every day outfielders. Hoover was also an AMCC all-conference third team honoree this season.
Tingley is also earning her first All-Region accolades this season after being named to the AMCC all-conference first team and the AMCC Pitcher of the Year. She ranks 34th in Division III statistics with a 1.35 ERA. Tingley tallied an 18-5 overall record in the circle, pitching a team-best 134.1 innings and allowing just 26 earned runs in 25 appearances. She fanned 94 batters and went undefeated in AMCC action (9-0). She recorded five shutouts in 16 complete games and only walking 16 for a .95 WHIP.
This season, Feathers started all 35 games for the Lions and set team single-season records for batting average (.518) and on-base percentage (.568). She led the AMCC in hits (58), batting average (.518), on-base percentage (.568), and slugging percentage (.786) while also ranking second in home runs (6), fourth in runs scored (36), total bases (88), and stolen bases (14), fifth in runs batted in (33), 10th in walks drawn (12), 11th in triples (3), and 27th in doubles (6). Behind the plate, Feathers threw out six attempted base stealers, the third-most in the conference. During the season, she was named the AMCC Player of the Week on March 11. This is the second time that Feathers has been named to an NFCA All-Region VII team, as she was picked to the second team last year.
