BEHREND MEN WIN AMCC CHAMPIONSHIP; ASC'S WESCOTT IS INDIVIDUAL CHAMPION
The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team captured its sixth straight and 17th overall AMCC Championship with 25 total points at the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Saturday morning.
Behrend earned a low-score of 25 to oust Alfred State College (38) and Penn State Altoona in third (77), as the Lions claimed seven of the top 10 times on Saturday.
Alfred State sophomore Christian Wescott crossed the finish line with a time of 28:11.0 securing him the first-place title. Pioneer sophomore Max Knight trailed Wescott, taking home second place with a time of 28:18.3.
Penn State Behrend took the next three spots, as freshman Ethan Vaughan led the Lions with a third-place finish in his first AMCC Championship, running the 8K course in 28:21.5. Behrend's Peyton Brewer was next to cross the finish line, taking fourth in 28:55.8 while Nathan Bertolo was fifth, clocking in at 29:01.6 for the muddy course.
Hilbert College freshman Thomas Roty became the first Hilbert men's cross country runner to earn a top six finish at the AMCC Championship Meet today, as he crossed the finish line in 29:05.2.
Behrend's Alex Haskins was seventh (29:22.8), Aiden Reinsel was eighth (29:29.3), Lucas Boyd was ninth (29:50.5) and Michael Werner capped the Top 10 in 30:03.1.
The NCAA Regional Championships will take place on Saturday, November 15.
