BEHREND'S LUCAS BOYD HEADLINES MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
Penn State Behrend sophomore Lucas Boyd has been named the AMCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year.
Penn State Behrend sophomore Lucas Boyd has been named the AMCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year. Boyd was the first runner to cross the finish line at the AMCC championship meet, coming in at 27:40.5. Boyd was also a four-time AMCC Runner of the Week this season, while also holding down the conference's top time of 26:49.2 during the regular season, which he ran at the Gettysburg College Invitational on October 19.
Alfred State College freshman Christian Wescott is the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Wescott finished second at the AMCC championship meet, crossing the finish line in 28:23.4. He also recorded the second-fastest time in the AMCC during the regular season, a 27:20.7 finish at the Mike Woods Invitational on October 19. Wescott was named the AMCC Runner of the Week on September 9, 2024.
Penn State Behrend head coach Greg Cooper has earned his fourth straight, and 13th overall, Coach of the Year honors. Cooper led the Lions to their 16th AMCC championship this season.
