AMCC cross country teams will head to Cresson, PA this weekend for the 2022 AMCC Men's Cross Country Championship.
The men's championship race kicks off on Saturday, October 30 at 12:15pm on the campus of Mount Aloysius College.
Defending champion Penn State Behrend will be looking for their 14th conference title, while two-time AMCC individual champion Gavin Bathgate of Alfred State College will be out to earn his third consecutive title.
Bathgate currently holds the top three times this season, running 25:48.5 at the Houghton Invitational on October 8 to hold down the top spot. He also finished in 25:54.2 at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational and 26:17.4 at the Canisius Invitational.
Behrend sophomore Kody Klein recorded the fourth-fastest time in the league this season, with his best performance coming at the Oberline Inter-Regional Rumble on October 15 (26:44.9).
Other runners appearing in the AMCC top ten include Behrend's Aidan Domencic and Nick Temel. Domencic's best finish was good for seventh-best in the conference, as he finished the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble in 27:21.9. Temel's 27:50.2 finish at Oberlin gave him the eighth-best time in the AMCC.
The AMCC Championships will take place on Saturday, October 29 at Mount Aloysius College. The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men to follow at 12:15 p.m.
