MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM RELEASED; KLEIN NAMED RUNNER OF THE YEAR
Penn State Behrend sophomore Kody Klein has been named the AMCC Runner of the Year after earning the individual title at the AMCC Championship.
Penn State Behrend sophomore Kody Klein has been named the AMCC Runner of the Year after earning the individual title at the AMCC Championship. He completed the championship course in 27:14.5. Klein also led the Lions at the NAA Division III Pre-Meet, running the 8K in 27:10.2 for 157th place overall (out of 329 runners). He also registered a personal-best time of 26:44.9 to place 86th out of 299 runners at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin on October 15.
Pitt-Greensburg freshman Casey Montrey has been tabbed as the Newcomer of the Year. Montrey finished the season as the Bobcats top runner, finishing as high as second place in the La Roche event and finishing with all-conference honors with a top-ten finish in the AMCC Championship Meet. Montry's top time came at Mount Aloysius where he ran the meet in 17:50.
Penn State Behrend head coach Greg Cooper picks up his 11th Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year honors after leading the Lions to their 14th AMCC title.
