BEHREND, HILBERT TAKE PART IN MIKE WOODS INVITE AT GENESEO STATE
Penn State Behrend and Hilbert College both competed at the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by Geneseo State on Saturday morning.
On the women's side, the Lions took seventh place out of 15 teams. Hilbert finished in 14th place.
Behrend sophomore Riley Crissman scored the top time for the Lions, and the AMCC, with a 30th overall finish in the 5K with a time of 23:34.9.
Sophomores Caitlin Plazony and Jenna Shelton took 32nd and 38th overall with times of 23:40.7 and 23:49.8 respectively.
Hilbert junior Megan Lee took a 58th place finish to lead the women's team in a field of 197 runners.
On the men's side, Behrend finished sixth out of 18 teams, while the Hawks finished in 17th place. Each of the Lion's top five runners improved on their times from their previous meet. Behrend senior Dylan Buffington led Behrend with a total time of 25:37.7 earning him a 19thplace finish.
Buffington was followed by sophomore Chris Drozynski and freshman Zachary Wortman who finished 25th and 27th overall. Drozynski crossed the line with a total time of 26:04.5 and Wortman finished with a time of 26:07.8.
Hilbert junior Adam Droz raced to an 85th place spot out of 238 racers.
