The Pitt-Greensburg men's and women's cross country teams hit the course running for the first action of the 2016 season.
The UPG men's team took third place and were led by Daniel Spanner, who finished eighth individually with a time of 31:09. Ethan Peters also put together a nice race for the Bobcats finishing in 11th place with a time of 33:40.
Saint Vincent took home top honors on the afternoon and were led by Brandan Moretton, who took home top individual honors with a time of 28:28.
Kelsey Oddis led the way for the UPG women's team as the sophomore raced to a fourth place finish with a time of 27:05. Casey Kemp finished cross the finish line in 11th place, as she broke the 30 minute mark with a time of 29:14.
The UPG Cross Country teams will return to the course Sept. 10 when it competes in the Westmoreland County Community College Invite.
