D'YOUVILLE, HILBERT COMPETE AT FREDONIA INVITATIONAL

The Hilbert College men's cross country team finished fourth and D'Youville placed fifth in the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invitational Saturday morning. 

Hilbert junior Nicholas Bentivegna  carried the Hawk cross country team around the 5K course at the Fredonia Invitational race this morning to lead Hilbert to a 4th place team finish in men's cross country. Bentivegna finished with 23 scoring points as the 30^th place runner at 18:58.50. Sophomore Adam Droz (19:40.52), freshman Odin Patanzo (19:50.58) and freshman Logan Yottler (20:06.96) paced each other throughout the race crossing as the 34, 35, 36^th place (24, 25, 26 pts).

Picking up where he left off last season, junior Brian Buttaggi was the top runner for the Spartans with a time of 18:48. Buttaggi's pace led him to a 27th place finish. Freshman Jakob McDaneld was just behind Buttaggi with a time of 20:22. Following closely behind McDaneld was sophomore David Braun with a time of 20:44.
