Spear had a solid week on both sides of the net last week. He recorded 21 digs, including 16 of those in conference play, to average 2.63 digs per set overall, and 3.20 per set against his conference opponent. He also recorded five blocks on the week. Spear also contributed in a big way on the offensive side, as well. He finished with a career-high 19 kills in a five-set victory over Medaille on Saturday, hitting .333 while adding 16 digs in the win. In Geneva's two matches last week Spear finished with 32 kills (4.00 k/s) on a .375 hitting percentage, adding 21 digs (2.63 d/s) and five blocks (0.63 b/s). He led the team with 35.5 pts (4.4 pts/s).

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend DS Adrian Martinez averaged 3.55 digs in three wins for Behrend, tallying a team-best 24 digs in a four-set win over St. Vincent on Sunday, while recording 39 digs and 12 assists on the week...Medaille S Kevin Cashdollar averaged 3.17 digs per set, totaling 38 total digs in the Mavs three matches, as he averaged 3.8 digs her set against Geneva, and finished the match with 19 digs, making that his best defensive game of the week, while also adding three total blocks on the week...PS-Altoona S Xavier Vang led the Lions in digs last week in a pair of five-set AMCC matches at home, as he finished with a match-high 13 digs in a loss to Hiram before posting a season-high 17 digs while adding three total blocks (two block assists, one solo block) in a loss to Thiel...Hilbert OH Alex Overhoff was lights out on defense and in serve receive, earning 21 digs in addition to 10 kills..Theil L Cameron Long helped Thiel defeat Penn State Altoona 3-2 on Friday and improve to 3-1 in conference play with a career-high 24 digs, as he ranks sixth in the AMCC with an average of 2.40 digs per set.
