GENEVA MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SENT TO STEVENS FOR NCAA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
The Geneva College men's volleyball team, fresh off its dramatic five-set victory at Penn State Behrend on Saturday in the AMCC Championship match, learned it will be headed to Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ) to take on the No. 2 ranked Ducks in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday.

The time of the match is yet to be determined.
This will be the first national tournament appearance for the men's volleyball program, which is in its fifth year as a varsity program, all under the direction of Curt Conser. The Golden Tornadoes earned the AMCC's automatic bid with the win over Behrend.
Also joining Geneva at Stevens this weekend will be St. John Fisher College and Wentworth College, with the winner of Geneva's match with Stevens taking on the winner of the St. John Fisher and Wentworth matchup on Saturday.
In total, 16 teams qualified for the NCAA Tournament, eleven automatic qualifiers and five at-large bids. While Geneva has never faced Stevens before, the Golden Tornadoes have already faced four other teams this season that are in the tournament. Geneva dropped matches to Juniata, Messiah, Baldwin Wallace and Lancaster Bible, who all made it to the national tournament.
Stevens has a very impressive resume this year, with the Ducks currently boasting a 31-3 overall record. Stevens earned the Middle Atlantic Conference's automatic bid by defeating Messiah in five-sets in the MAC Championship match on Saturday. The Ducks already have eight victories over teams in the NCAA Tournament. Stevens boasts an impressive array of hitters and is near the top of the national statistics in multiple categories, including hitting percentage and blocks per set.

The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team host the 2023 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Saturday in the Junker Center.
The Behrend Lions are the top seed and will host the final four teams for a one-day championship. The Lions will face the winner of No. 4 St. Elizabeth and No. 5 CCNY at 10 a.m., followed by No. 2 NJCU vs. the winner of No. 3 Hunter and No. 6 Kean at 1 p.m.
The winners of the semifinals will play for the championship at 4 p.m.
Behrend is making it second appearance in the ECAC Tournament. The last time the Lions competed in the ECAC Tournament was in 2014 against Wentworth in the semifinals.
