BEHREND'S DABROWSKI EARNS THIRD CAREER ALL-AMERICA HONORS
Penn State Behrend men's track & field senior thrower Dan Dabrowski secured his third career All-America honors and became the 23rd All-American in program history with a fifth-place finish in the discus at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Doug Memorial Stadium.
Penn State Behrend men's track & field senior thrower Dan Dabrowski secured his third career All-America honors and became the 23rd All-American in program history with a fifth-place finish in the discus at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Doug Memorial Stadium.
Dabrowski qualified for the discus finals with a 165-5 for his first throw of the day to sit in sixth, as the top nine competitors make their way to the finals. On his final throw of the day, Dabrowski moved into fifth place with a distance of 170-0, passing Holden Murphy of Loras who scored 169-7 on his last throw on Thursday. This marked the best finish for Dabrowski at Division III Nationals in his three appearances as he previously placed sixth and eighth, respectively. His throw of 170-0 also marked the fourth time in his collegiate career that he registered a distance of 170 feet or more with the last instance coming last week at regional championships when Dabrowski broke his own school record with a score of 171-5
