SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Alfred State FR Luca Aldewereld set a new Alfred State NCAA-era record in winning the 50 free (21.84) in the Pioneers victory over Fredonia. He was also part of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 free relay team. The 200 free relay team set a new school record, winning 1:29.74. In the first meet of the season vs. Buffalo State he won the 50 free in 22.14 and was 2nd in the 100 free (49.54).

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona FR Laurence Wang helped lead the way for the Lions in a dominant win over Washington & Jefferson on Saturday in Penn State Altoona's season opener at home, as the freshman recorded three individual first places and was part of a first place relay team. Wang placed first in the 100 Yard Butterfly by finishing in 53.45, and he followed that up by triumphing in the 50 Yard Butterfly with a time of 24.38 and winning the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2.11.53. Laurence was also part of the team that took first in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a combined time of 1:32.44...PS-Behrend GR Jake Schmidt won the 200 free (1:46.30) and the 500 free (4:59.87) in the first meet of the season on Saturday, helping the Lions defeat Pitt-Bradford and Medaille.
