AMCC MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM ANNOUNCED
Penn State Behrend junior Tim Compton has been named the AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Year.
Penn State Behrend junior Tim Compton has been named the AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Year. Compton led the AMCC at the Allegheny-Empire Swimming and Diving Championships in multiple events. He finished first in the 500 free (4:37.40), the 200 fly (1:51.73), and the 400 IM (4:01.54), breaking the AMCC Championship records in the 200 fly and 400 IM. In additional to his individual titles, Compton was part of the 400 medley relay, 200 medley relay, and 800 free relay teams that captured the gold, as well.
Alfred State College sophomore Conor Compton earns AMCC Diver of the Year honors for the second year in a row. Compton captured the gold in both the 1m and 3m boards at the Allegheny-Empire Swimming and Diving Championships. Both of his dives broke AMCC Championship records, as he scored a 518.95 in the 1m dive, and a 601.25 in the 3m dive.
Penn State Behrend freshman Alex Kremin has been tabbed as the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Kremin recorded a fifth place finish in the 1650 free (16:52.17), a ninth place finish in the 500 free (4:55.54), and a 10th place finish in the 200 free (1:49.77) at the championship meet.
Coach of the Year honors goes to Penn State Behrend head Coach Jennifer Wallace, who earns the award for the 10th time in her career. Wallace led the Lions to their 15th AMCC title this seaon.
