AMCC MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FOR WEDNESDAY
The AMCC men's swimming and diving championships will be held February 10-13 at Grove City College.
The AMCC men's swimming and diving championships will be held February 10-13 at Grove City College, with the diving events leading off on Wednesday evening. Penn St. Behrend is aiming for their tenth consecutive conference title.
Penn St. Behrend is led by freshman Mark Patterson, who leads the conference in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 backstroke. Junior Nick Kost is tops in the 100, 200, and 400 individual medley.
Pitt-Bradford, 2015 conference runner-up, has been paced this season by freshman Carey Behm. Behm has the fastest conference time in the 1650 freestyle this season and also ranks in the top six in the conference in the 200, 500, and 1000 freestyle.
2015 third place finisher Cabrini College will look for experience and leadership from junior Todd Walker. The three-time AMCC Swimmer of the Week ranks in the top five in the 200, 500, and 1000 freestyle, as well as the 100 and 200 backstroke, and the 100 and 200 butterfly.
Rounding out the field is Penn St. Altoona. Lion freshman John Polidoro is among the conference top 10 in the 1000 and 1650 freestyle, as well as the 200 backstroke.
