Hunter Sherman, D'Youville College, Men's Soccer - Offensive

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville F Hunter Sherman powered the Spartans to a 2-0 record and in pole position for the final playoff spot in the AMCC. Sherman scored a combined six goals to go with one assist for a total of 13 points in two games against Hilbert and Penn State-Altoona. In game one of the week against the Hawks, Sherman scored his first career hat-trick for the men in a 5-1 win, adding his first assist of the season. On Saturday against the Lions, he matched his goal total from the previous game and became the first Spartan in program history to record back-to-back hat-tricks. He leads the team with nine goals, 19 points, and 53 shots. His nine goals are sixth in the AMCC.

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius M Will Funez scored three goals (with two game-winning goals) and added two assists in a 2-0 week for Mount Aloysius, including two goals and one assist in a win over Pitt-Greensburg before adding a goal and assist in a win over Pitt Bradford...PS-Behrend F Matt Dziadosz tallied a goal and two assists in an undefeated week for the Lions, as he buried the first goal of the game against Pitt-Bradford in the opening 10 minutes to give Behrend an early 1-0 lead, and then dished out the game-winning assist in the 86th minute...Medaille M Mitchell Ali tallied one goal and one assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over Franciscan...Franciscan F Leo Herrmann posted a hat trick in FUS' 4-0 win over Penn St.-Altoona, including the game-winning goal against the Lions, finishing the week with nine shots and seven on goal...La Roche M Ximo Vicent scored in a 4-3 loss at Carnegie Mellon...Pitt-Bradford F Tyler Koch scored his first goal of the season Wednesday against Penn State-Behrend, serving as the Panthers' lone goal of the week.
