LA ROCHE MEN'S SOCCER SEASON ENDS IN NCAA FIRST ROUND
The La Roche University men's soccer team saw its historic 2025 season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, falling to Williams College, 4-0, in the NCAA Tournament's First Round.
All the scoring went the way of the #2 seed in the Scranton Region of the bracket, with all four goals being scored in the first half.
Williams sophomore Alex Bethencourt scored three goals in the first 13:46 of Saturday's game, earning his hat trick in just 12:40 of game time.
The Ephs added a fourth goal just three minutes before the half, when a corner kick was played into the box and eventually found its way to Henry Kirkman. His header found David Armini, who headed home the first goal of his career.
With the win, the Ephs advance to play on Sunday, squaring off against the winner of the University of Scranton and St. Joseph's University, which takes place later on Saturday.
The Redhawks close out the season with a 10-5-4 overall record and an AMCC championship under their belts.
