AMCC MEN'S SOCCER ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM ANNOUNCED
Mount Aloysius College senior M/F Louis Bez has been named the AMCC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year.
Mount Aloysius College senior M/F Louis Bez has been named the AMCC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. Bez scored six goals and recorded seven assists in AMCC play this season. He led the AMCC in assists (7) and total points (19), ranking seventh nationally in assists per game. Bez averaged over two points per game in AMCC play and recorded one game-winning goal in conference play.
Alfred State College senior defender Jack Leahy is the Defensive Player of the Year. Leady anchored the Pioneer defense, which achieved a goals-against average ranking of 16th nationally and led the AMCC in goal differential, allowing just one goal as a team throughout conference play.
Alfred State freshman forward Travis Scandalis has been tabbed as the Newcomer of the Year. Scandalis made an impressive impact in his first season with the Pioneers. He finished the regular season ranked fourth (10) and ranks third in points (24) within the conference. Statistically, he also leads the Pioneers in overall points this season.
Alfred State head coach Gabe Kuhn has been named the Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. Kuhn led the Pioneers to a 6-0-2 AMCC record and a share of the regular season title.
