Medaille College freshman forward Lachlan Beever has been named the 2018 AMCC Newcomer and Offensive Player of the Year. He had a standout rookie campaign offensively, scoring 19 goals and adding three assists for a total of 41 points. Beever found the back of the net in 10 of the 17 games in which he saw time, earning three hat tricks along the way. He finished the regular season 8th in the country with 1.12 goals per game, 13th in the nation with 2.41 points per game, 5th in the NCAA with 19 goals and 8th in Division III with 41 points. The freshman also finished the regular season as the top-ranked AMCC player in all four categories.
For the second year in a row, Penn St. Behrend senior goalkeeper Chris Ralph is the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year. Ralph has compiled an outstanding senior season for the Behrend Lions, posting an 11-3-2 record in goal. Ralph's 11 wins are tied for the most in the AMCC. He finished the regular season ranked second in the AMCC with a goals against average of 0.65, and also ranked second in the league having allowed just 10 goals all season. Ralph's .825 save percentage was third in the AMCC. Ralph helped Behrend complete 10 of its 11 shutouts this season. In AMCC play this fall, Ralph allowed just two goals and helped Penn State Behrend to a first-place finish in the league standings. The senior posted a goals against average of 0.28 against AMCC opponents and also posted a save percentage of .889 in eight AMCC games. Ralph posted a 7-0-1 record in league play in 2018.
Penn St. Behrend head coach Dan Perritano picks up Coach of the Year honors for the fourth time in his career. Perritano led the Lions to a 13-3-2 overall record, going 8-0-1 in conference play and claiming the regular season and postseason tournament titles.
