Penn State Altoona men’s soccer (3-8, 2-1 AMCC) is looking for its first win over Penn State Behrend (8-4, 3-0 AMCC) since 2012, when the Lions host their Erie counterparts at Spring Run Stadium on Saturday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m.
Penn State Behrend opened conference play with a perfect record, notching three shut-out victories. Senior forward Matt Dziadosz leads the Lions in goals (6), assists (5), and points (17). Sophomore goalkeeper Chris Ralph continues his excellence from last season, tallying a 6-1 record while adding five shutouts. Behrend holds a 13-7-1 all-time record against Altoona, dating back to 1970.
Penn State Altoona senior midfielder Seth Murrelle is having another strong season for the Lions, as he is currently tied for sixth in the AMCC in goals scored (5). Sophomore defender Jacob Weaver has been solid on the Lions’ back line, and he has also been an impact player on the attack with two goals and one assist this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Tanner Yaw has made the second-most saves (63) in the AMCC this season while posting a .724 save percentage.
