FRANCISCAN'S BOBAK NAMED ECAC MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Franciscan University freshman JP Bobak has earned his first career weekly award for the Franciscan men's soccer team as he was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Bobak helped the Barons to an impressive 2-0 week last week as the Barons defeated Westminster (Pa.) 2-1 for the first time in program history before capping off the week with a 4-1 over Mt. St. Joseph on Friday. 

In the Barons' 4-1 win, Bobak accounted for two goals and assist, including the first goal of the game at 6:02 into the first. Bobak then assisted on the next goal of the game before capping off his two-goal performance with a finish of a shot off the crossbar. 

Bobak is currently second on the team in points (12) and fourth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
