The Lions (4-1-2) offense was paced by junior forward Matt Dziadosz who netted two goals on five shots. Senior forward Anthony Crivelli added a goal on his only shot. Behrend outshot Allegheny (2-3-1) 15-5 in the game.
In the 38th minute Dziadosz found an Aaron Harris header in the slot and put it in the back of the net, putting the Lions up 1-0. That would be Harris's first career assist and point for Behrend.
At the 59:10 mark, Dziadosz had a chance to add to the Lions lead on a free kick just in front of the box. He would end up capitalizing on his opportunity, netting his sixth goal of the season on a shot to the top right corner of the goal.
Behrend would again strike in the 72nd minute on a left-footed shot from Crivelli from inside the box. He now has has seven points on the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Chris Ralph picked up his fourth shutout of the season, saving all 5 Gator shots.
The Lions will be back at home this Wednesday to take on Westminster at 7:00 p.m.
