Melisko shot consecutive rounds of 75, leading the Mounties to a third place finish in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic. After a strong first day score that left him in a tie for 6th place, the sophomore followed it up with another 75. He came in second overall, falling to the leader by two strokes. It was his highest collegiate finish.

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona JR Trey Heffelfinger led the way for Penn State Altoona this past weekend to help the Lions win the two-day Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic, as he shot an even-par 72 on Friday at Sinking Valley Country Club, then carded 79 in Saturday's round at Summit Country Club, finishing with a two-day score of 151 to finish in third place individually out of 70 golfers...Hilbert JR Michael Petrus had a strong week posting a fourth place finish at the Elmira Invite and a Top 25 overall finish at the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic. In addition to carding a pair of rounds in the 70's, Petrus finished tied for third in a field of 68 golfers over the weekend in most pars, parring 22 of the 36 holes...Pitt-Bradford SO Connor Smith led the Panthers to a fifth place finish at the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic over the weekend. After starting with a first round 82, Smith fired a 3-over 75 in the second round -- it was the third best score of the day and helped Smith move from 29th to 12th in the standings.
