BEHREND TAKES TOP TWO SPOTS AT PITT-BRADFORD INVITATIONAL, UPG'S TROUT CLAIMS INDIVIDUAL TITLE
The Penn State Behrend men's golf team took first and second at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational at Pine Acres Country Club on Saturday, while Pitt-Greensburg sophomore Javon Trout took home top individual honors.

The Lions shot a 312 and a 317 to take home the championship and runner up honors. Penn State Altoona came in third with a 328 and La Roche tied for fourth with Pitt-Bradford.
Pitt-Greensburg's Javon Trout finished in a three-way tie for the lowest individual round, shooting a 74 (+2) to pace Pitt-Greensburg. After finishing in a three-way tie for the lowest round, Trout, along with Behrend's Noah Kunst and Pitt-Bradford's Matthew Moonon all headed to extra holes to determine low round medalist honors. Trout took home the title, as he was birdied the first hole.
Leading the Behrend's "white" team, JT Kuchnicki fired a 76 to end four-over par to finish fourth overall. Andy Goss and Mark Peters tied for third on the team and 18th overall with an 81 on the day. Zac McCue rounded out the top five with an 86 for the course, tying for 44th place.
On the "blue" team, Ryder Grignol led with a 77 to finish tied for fifth place, while Ryan Matlock was one stroke ahead carding a 78 and tying for seventh. Cody Stinson shot an 80, putting him eight over par and finishing tied for 14th. Sean Sculley and Alex Shindledecker fired an 82 and 83, respectively, to complete the team results.
Penn St. Altoona's Adam Osborne tied his collegiate career best score, shooting a 77 on the par 72 course to lead the Lions and rank fifth individually out of 85 golfers. Matt Dillon fired an 80, placing second on the Lion's squad and tying for 14th individually. Mateo Scott was third on the team and tied for 38th individually with a score of 85. Pete Thongyai shot an 86 to tie for 44th individually and come in fourth on the Lions team, and Jared Wood rounded out Penn State Altoona's group by tying for 47th and shooting an 87.
La Roche junior Ben Mullins finished with a 6-over 78. Mullins tied for seventh to pick up his eighth career top-10 finish. Freshman Pat McCall had a strong showing in his first collegiate start posting an 8-over 80 to place 14th. The Redhawks' depth was on display with their #3 and #4 golfer positions helping them leapfrog a handful of teams. Senior Drake Hoberek and junior Tyler handed in an 85 and 87 while junior Harrison Thatcher helped preserve the fourth place tie with a 92.
