PITT-GREENSBURG TAKES NINTH AT MESSIAH COLLEGE INVITATIONAL
The Pitt-Greensburg men's golf team placed ninth at the Messiah College Falcon Invite on Tuesday afternoon at the Blue Ridge Country Club. A total of 17 teams and 86 players competed at the 6,615 yard par 72 course.
The Pitt-Greensburg men's golf team placed ninth at the Messiah College Falcon Invite on Tuesday afternoon at the Blue Ridge Country Club. A total of 17 teams and 86 players competed at the 6,615 yard par 72 course.
As a team, Pitt-Greensburg shot a scored of 334, which was 11 shots behind eighth place Stevensen (+35, 323) and six shots better than 10th place Arcadia University (+52, 340).
Once again it was sophomore Javon Trout that led the way for the Bobcats, as he finished in a tie for first place shooting a two under 70. Trout finished in a three-way tie with Nate Haney (Messiah) and Dane Sethre-Hofstad (Gettysburg). The trio headed to a playoff to decide the individual winner and it was Sethre-Hoftad took the tiebreaker.
Muhlenberg College finished first in the team competition shooting a +16, 304, while Lebanon Valley (+21, 309), Gettysburg (+22, 3010), Dickinson (+31, 319), and Albright (+32, 320) and Messiah (+32, 320) rounded out the top five team scores.
