MAVERICKS WIN MEDAILLE INVITATIONAL AT GLEN OAK GOLF COURSE
The Medaille College men's golf team hosted their Fall Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Glen Oak Golf Course. The Mavericks took on local Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents Hilbert College, D'Youville College and University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in the tournament.
The Medaille College men's golf team hosted their Fall Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Glen Oak Golf Course. The Mavericks took on local Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents Hilbert College, D'Youville College and University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in the tournament.
Medaille junior Adam Kroll fired a career low 75 en route to taking home Medalist honors for the Mavericks. Kroll shot an even-par 36 on the front nine and came in with a 39 on the second nine. Kroll's 75 also paced the Mavericks to a first place finish as a team (323).
Pitt-Bradford came in second place as a team with a team score of 335. D'Youville took home third place with a 361 and Hilbert came in fourth with a 379.
D'Youville freshman Mac Cox took home Medalist runner-up on a scorecard tie-breaker.
Medaille sophomore Jeremiah Gamble shot a season low 82 to finish in a tie for second place with Cox and Pitt-Bradford senior Tom Morlock. Medaille sophomore Chuck Panepinto came in a shot behind him with an 83 as did freshman Bobby Merino and sophomore Zach Lewandowski to pace the Mavs. Pitt-Bradford freshman Matt Moonan also tied with the Medaille trio with a score of 83.
