PENN ST. BEHREND, ALTOONA WRAP UP DAY 2 OF ALLEGHENY COLLEGE INVITATIONAL
The Penn State Behrend men's golf team tied for 10th out of 16 teams with a two-day score of 627 at the Guy W. Kuhn Invitational held by Allegheny at the Country Club of Meadville on Monday, while Penn State Altoona placed 15th.

Behrend carded a 315 on day one and came back today to shoot a 312 for a 627 total. Altoona showed a six-stroke improvement from Sunday's performance, finishing the day with a collective score of 321 on Monday. Including Sunday's score of 327, Altoona ranked 15th with 648 strokes in two rounds.
Wittenberg remained out front for first with a 594 team score. Carnegie Mellon was second with a 608 and Ohio Wesleyan was a stroke ahead with a 609 for third place.
Sophomore Ryder Gringol continued to lead Behrend, matching his score from day one with a 75 for a 150 total. Gringol was first on the team and tied for 11th overall. Freshman JT Kuchnicki tallied a 79 on day two of competition for a 156 total, finishing tied for 37th place. Sophomore Noah Kunst went from tying for 70th up to 61st place with a 161 two-day score. The sophomore carded a 79 today, combined with a 77 from yesterday. Junior Ryan Matlock tied Kunst with a 161, recording an 80 and 81 for the course. Senior Cody Stinson took four strokes off from yesterday, posting an 80 on the second day for a 164 total (T76).
Altoona sophomore Adam Osborne was the Lions' top golfer on Monday, shooting 5-over par with a 77, an eight-stroke improvement over his score from the previous day. Osborne tied for 68th out of 103 individual golfers with a two-day score of 162. Senior Matt Dillon fired a 78, which represented a five-stroke improvement from his Sunday score. Dillon tied for 61st place individually with a total score of 161. Senor Jared Wood remained consistent on Monday, carding an 81 to post a team-best combined score of 159, tying him for 50th place individually. Freshman Pongthong Thongyai posted a score of 85 to combine for 167 in two rounds, and freshman Chris Michelone shot an 87 to finish the invitational with a total score of 171.
