Five AMCC men's basketball student-athletes were recognized for their performance in the classroom on Thursday afternoon, when the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its 2022-23 Honors Court class.

The sophomore played 41 minutes per game and scored a career-high 51 points and grabbed 19 rebounds, while also adding six assists and four steals, in the Mounties' overtime loss to Hilbert on Saturday. It was his sixth double-double in AMCC play, bringing him to second in scoring and first in rebounding in the league. Earlier in the week, against Pitt-Greensburg, Hagwood scored 24 points, hauled in 15 rebounds, dished out four assists, and snagged a steal. For the week, Hagwood averaged 37.5 points, 17.0 rebounds,5.0 assists and 2.5 steals.
The AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week will be a clash of the top two teams in the conference, both fighting for a regular season title and hosting rights in the upcoming AMCC championship tournament.
Hagwood led the Mounties to a 1-1 week, including their first AMCC victory of the season. Over the week, he averaged 23.0 points and 9.0 rebounds, while also adding 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He capped the week off with a 36 point, 13 rebound, double-double performance, where he shot 50% from the field and went 13-for-14 from the free throw line. It was the most points scored in a game by a Mountie this season and is Hagwood's career-high. Hagwood currently ranks sixth in scoring and second in rebounding in the AMCC.
