The Penn State Behrend (3-0) men’s basketball team will host the Pitt-Greenburg Bobcats (2-0) in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Junker Center.

The Penn State Behrend (3-0) men’s basketball team will host the Pitt-Greenburg Bobcats (2-0) in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Junker Center.
The Bobcats come into the AMCC Game of the Week with a 2-1 AMCC record and currently sit in fourth place in the conference. Pitt-Greensburg is led by leading scorer JoJo France who is averaging 18.7 points per game which is good for fifth in the conference. The Bobcats have four other players averaging double-digit points in conference play. Senior leader Matt Johnson is one of those players averaging double-digits with 14.3 points while also average and 6.3 rebounds. Sophomore Reggie Priah is also having a solid run for the Bobcats averaging 15.3 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game.
The Lions took down Carnegie Mellon this past Sunday, 73-70, as the victory increased the Behrend winning streak to five games. Senior G Kenny Fukon shattered his previous career high for points in a single game, having 31 in the win. RJ Marsh also had a career-best 21 points, sinking five three’s and going 7-for-10 from the field. The Lions are 16th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 61.8 points per game. Fukon has hit double-digit point totals every game this season, averaging 19.1 points per game, ranking third in the AMCC. Over the last three games, Matt Niland is averaging 12.3 points per game, draining seven three-pointers over that span.
The Lions lead the series 36-13, dating back to the 1997-98 season. The last matchup between the two occurred in the 2019 AMCC Semifinals, resulting in a Behrend victory (73-68). The Bobcats secured their most recent win against the Lions that same year in their first meeting of the season on November 30, 2019, defeating Behrend 71-69.
