Medaille College (5-3, 3-0 AMCC) and La Roche College (6-3, 3-0 AMCC) both enter the AMCC men's basketball Game of the Week with perfect 3-0 conference records and are in a three-way tie with Penn State Behrend for first place.
Medaille enters the game on a four-game winning streak and is currently undefeated in the AMCC (3-0) following last week’s wins over Hilbert College and Penn State Altoona. The Mavs have four players averaging over ten points per game and have been led by junior forward Mike Hollenbeck (14.1), senior guard Johnathan Belton (13.9), sophomore guard Meghale Ford (10.6) and junior guard Justice Fagan (10.0). Hollenbeck is fourth in the AMCC with (17.7) points per game in AMCC contests and Belton is eighth with (16.0). Medaille is also currently second in the AMCC in points against per game with (70.9).
La Roche also comes into the game of the week on a four-game winning streak, including a thrilling 89-87 OT victory over the defending AMCC regular season champion, Hilbert College. Offensively, the Redhawks are led by sophomore guard Ray Quan Phifer, whose 14.1 points per game ties him for 10th in the conference, and junior forward Arnes Bajgora, who averages 12.8 points per game. Sophomore Zach Gould has had the hot hand from three, as he ranks third in the conference with a 45.0 three-point field goal percentage.
